Please encourage your child, from reception through to year two, to write at home. Children in years one and two have take home tasks for each half term. There are several tasks that involve writing for them to complete. The home learning information is located on the year group page in the learning journey for each half term.

Children are asked to use the sounds they know when writing. Children are also taught spelling patterns and how to write many irregular words from memory.
