Welcome and Ethos
Welcome to Field Place Infant and Nursery School. Everyone at Field Place is dedicated to ‘Building Bright Futures Together’. We aim to create a safe, happy and caring environment where every child is valued and respected as an individual. We are very proud of the school and welcome visitors.
We hope you find our website informative. Transition information for new reception starters 2020.
We are a Community Infant and Nursery School for children aged 3 to 7. We also have a Special Support Centre for children who have an education and health care plan, where their primary need is speech and language.
Our expectation of children is high. We aim for all children to make excellent progress. We want all children to leave us as confident readers, writers and mathematicians. We are proud of our dedicated staff team who are there to educate and nurture our children. We work in very close partnership with parents and carers to support, recognise and celebrate all achievements.
We want all children to gain skills, which enable them to become citizens of the future and to lead confident, healthy and independent lives, making a valued and positive contribution to society.
Learning at Field Place is underpinned by an exciting curriculum, designed to deliver academic excellence and enrichment. The four cornerstones of our curriculum are
- The Power of Talk
- Growth Mindset
- Broadening Horizons
- Love of the Natural World
We have excellent outside learning spaces which support a stimulating and challenging learning environment. We hope your children will be very happy at our school and we look forward to working with you.
