Week beginning 1st June

During this period of partial closure Field Place Infant and Nursery School continues to be open for provision for vulnerable pupils and children of key workers. Irrespective of any partial closure or collaboration with another school, the safeguarding of all our children remains our top priority. At this time, our school will continue as normal in supporting our vulnerable children and if anyone has any questions regarding this, they are asked to make contact with Theresa Alford, Headteacher 01903 700234. Please contact the school if you have any queries (office@fieldplace.org.uk)

Dear Parents

Please find attached the learning newsletters for this week.

We are really looking forward to welcoming the children from Nursery and Reception who are coming back to school this week. All the new protocols are in place, but we will be trouble shooting any issues that arise.  You should have received your start and finish time, so please try your best to arrive within the five minutes allocated.  The Orchards are not letting parents past the fence boundary, so this means that once children have been dropped at the Orchards, it should be straight forward to join our queue.  If you need to pick up a child early from the Orchards because of your pickup time with us, please just call and let them know.  They will then release your older child early.

Just a quick reminder that Monday is an INSET day for everyone except key worker children, who can attend. Tuesday is the first day back for Nursery and Reception.  On Wednesday, school is closed for all children apart from key worker children.  Nursery and Reception will then be back to school for Thursday and Friday.  Year 1 will not be starting school until Monday 8th June

For Year 2 and children whose parents prefer them to remain at home, online learning will continue. As many teachers will now be back in school teaching full time, it will not be possible to continue the same level of email contact with parents.  We will update you later in the week if your child’s home learning will be overseen by a different teacher.

Kind Regards

Theresa Alford
