Week beginning 25th November

Information and Events

The children had a great time watching the pantomime last week and this stimulated lots of writing.

The gymnastics team did fantastically well at the competition on Thursday and our boys team came away with gold medals. (we are very proud of the whole team).

I hosted my second Headteacher Tea last week for outstanding behaviour and had a lovely time celebrating with the children – lots of cakes consumed, so sorry if they did not want any tea!

Family Learning

The parents who are taking part in our keeping up with the children's literacy are really enjoying the course and this will in turn support their children.

In January we will be offering our next course - Family English.

This is a 5 week course to meet other parents and develop your own English skills whilst learning how to support your child's developing literacy skills.

  • Explore where English features in everyday life
  • Find out how the school teaches reading and phonics
  • Explore some of the language your child will be introduced to
  • Make games and activities to help your child with reading

Please find attached a leaflet from ASPIRE explaining more about the course and how to enrol.  If you do not have access to a printer, please just pop into the office and let Elaine or Claire know you are interested.
