Sponsored Event

We are all very excited to meet the Judo Olympian, Kimberley Renicks next Wednesday.  The children are looking forward to raising money which will benefit both the charity and the school. 40% of the money raised will go to the charity and will provide equipment, resources and training for unsponsored athletes.  60% will go to the school.  The school council are hoping to make some changes to the playground, and this will allow us to fund some of their ideas.

 

School Council

The school council are elected from their class by the children.  This supports our work on British values, which includes democracy. Mrs Bourne meets with the school council on Fridays.  The children can bring along ideas and feedback from the rest of their class about things the children would like to discuss, change or implement.  We value the children’s voice, and this supports our curriculum cornerstones, the power of talk and broadening horizons.

Monday

Assembly will to taken by ‘Open a Book’, a group who perform Christian stories to children.

Wednesday

Kimberley Renick (Judo Olympian) will be meeting the children prior to the sponsored event.
