Week beginning 29th June

During this period of partial closure Field Place Infant and Nursery School continues to be open for provision for vulnerable pupils and children of key workers. Irrespective of any partial closure or collaboration with another school, the safeguarding of all our children remains our top priority. At this time, our school will continue as normal in supporting our vulnerable children and if anyone has any questions regarding this, they are asked to make contact with Theresa Alford, Headteacher 01903 700234. Please contact the school if you have any queries (office@fieldplace.org.uk)

Dear Parents

Please find attached the learning newsletters for this week.

We have managed to arrange for ‘Yellow’, the photography company, to put together class photos based on the individual photos taken of children in the Autumn.  When these become available, we will be sending you an email with a link and password so you can view the picture and order a copy if you would like to.  The management of this will be done directly through ‘Yellow’.

On Friday, we will be letting you know which class and teacher your child will be moving to in September.  There will be welcome messages from the teachers on the website for you to share with your child.

During the week beginning the 6th July, we will be sending out reports.  We will give out reports to children who are in school and send reports to children who remain at home. We have a special gift for year 2 children so will be arranging times when parents can come to school to collect the gift and report if they would like.  Any year 2 reports/gifts that are not collected will be posted to your home.

We will sadly be saying goodbye to some members of staff in July:

Lucy Guile, who has worked in the school for ten years will be taking up a new position at Thomas a Becket Infant School.  Lucy has taught many of your children and been a wonderful teacher and member of the team.  We will miss her greatly and wish her all the best for the future.

Harriet Johnson is also taking up a new position at Thomas a Becket.  She has had a fantastic year with us starting her career and I know that both children and parents will miss her.

Jade Symes, Lianne Payton Butcher and Ian Smythe will also be leaving us in July.  They have provided excellent support for children across the school and we wish them all the best for the future.

Polly Herron will be leaving us for a while to have her baby.  We are all very exciting about this new arrival and wish her a wonderful and restful maternity leave.

With Thanks

Theresa Alford
